3-UP: Offline Edition

Featuring:
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition
Marvel vs Capcom 3
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Mortal Kombat 9
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition
Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus
...Aaaaaaand... A MYSTERY TOURNAMENT! :O

Go for broke! It's time to celebrate the release of 3rd Strike Online Edition and to have one last big tournament before Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 drops in November. This time, we're rockin' a whopping 9 games, so there's something for everyone out there in our fighting game community. (Except for Puzzle Fighter players. Sorry JC.)

3-UP will take place on Saturday, November 5th in Torg 1060. Available parking is marked in yellow here (http://filebox.vt.edu/users/davidamh/campus-map.png) and at any of the parking lots marked “F/S/V” on this map (http://www.vt.edu/where_we_are/maps/cam ... ighres.pdf). Torg 1060 is building 174 on this map, in block M-4, so plan your parking accordingly!

Schedule:
11:00am: Setup (Please arrive at this time if you've volunteered to provide a setup.)
12:00pm: Casuals/Registration begins
1:00pm: AE singles, Brawl doubles, GGXXAC singles
2:00pm: 3SOE singles, Melee doubles, Brawl singles, BBCS2 singles
3:00pm: Melee singles, MK9 singles, **MYSTERY TOURNAMENT**
4:00pm: MvC3 singles

Please note that the above times are approximate and if tournaments end early/run late, then we will have to accommodate setups accordingly. We will make a final call for registration about 30 minutes before the tournament is scheduled to begin. Registration for each tournament will close about 15 minutes before the tournament is scheduled to begin in order to prepare the bracket.

Rules:
AE/MvC3/3SOE/MK9/BBCS2 will all be played on Xbox 360. For PS3 pad users, converters will be provided.
Tekken 6 will be played on PS3.
GGXXAC will be played on PS2.
Brawl will be played on Wii.
Melee will be played on GCN.
The MYSTERY TOURNAMENT will be run on the mystery console.

All games will run by tournament legal rules/standards. Use of game-breaking glitches will result in an automatic loss of the match. All matches are 2/3 except for loser's, winner's, and grand finals, which will be 3/5.

For Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we will be running Meta Knight BANNED tournaments.

Payouts for all games (except the MYSTERY TOURNAMENT) will be 70/20/10.

Fees (tentative):
Venue:
~$5 for non-members
~$3 for members and non-members that provide a setup (See below)
~Waived for members that provide a setup (See below)
~Venue fee is for people that want to play, spectators DO NOT have to pay the venue fee

Entry:
~$10 for AE/MvC3/SSBM/MK9 singles
~$5 for 3SOE/T6/SSBB/BBCS2/GGXXAC singles
~$10/team for SSBM/SSBB doubles
~The MYSTERY TOURNAMENT is free to play!

These acronyms are ridiculous.

Miscellaneous info:
SETUP DISCOUNTS!!!
If you are one of the first 20 people to pre-register (http://bit.ly/n5PGvi) and agree to bring a setup, we will discount or waive your venue fee, depending on whether you are a member of GGVT or not. We will notify you if we need your setup and therefore qualify for the venue fee discount. (If we have 20 people wanting to bring Brawl setups, we can't really get much done.)

If you bring a setup or a controller, make sure to put your name on it.
